Make butterflies and yourself happy with this fantastic Happy Butterfly House.
As soon as it gets colder (from around the end of September), butterflies like the Peacock and Brimstone go into hibernation. Because they don’t hibernate as caterpillars or chrysalises, but simply as butterflies, these are the very first butterflies you see fluttering around in the early, warm spring. And let’s be honest: who wouldn’t be happy about that!
These butterflies therefore seek shelter where they can survive the winter. Due to increasing urbanization, this is becoming increasingly difficult. So you can truly make these graceful insects happy with this beautiful Happy Butterfly House. If you like, fill the house with some dry leaves and fine twigs. Then their bed is made, and they’ll feel even more at home!
Ilse Bouwens was inspired by contemporary architecture. The projecting roof at the front is one of its striking features. It gives the Happy Butterfly House a modern look. The roof tapers forward into a point, creating a contemporary shelter. The Happy Butterfly House features a sustainable bamboo body with three slots at the front that serve as entrances. Sturdy metal surrounds the bamboo body, forming the walls, roof, and floor. Designer Ilse chose Petrol Blue for the metal. This neutral color incorporates shades of blue, green, and even gray.
