Design with passion for People & Nature
Ilse Bouwens (co-owner of Heeej.nl) studied at the Arts & Crafts Academy Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam. Under the brand name Heeej!, she develops her own collection. With her designs, she wants to inspire people to make sustainable choices.
Ilse grew up on a farm. With her roots in the countryside and her studies in a big city, she realized that people and nature in urbanized areas are growing further apart.
With that in mind, she decided to design a series of Bird houses. Ilse likes to bring people closer to nature and vice versa.
So, we at Heeej love nature. With sustainable Bird feeders and Birdhouses, we help the birds who are struggling to find food and places to nest.
