Trendz Spring 2024 remains in positive flow with rising visitor numbers

GORINCHEM – Trendz, the leading trade event for home deco & lifestyle, opened the inspiration and purchasing season in a dazzling way with a highly successful spring edition. From Sunday, January 14 to Tuesday, January 16, Trendz welcomed nearly 6,900 visiting retailers who discovered more than 300 brands and were inspired by the latest trends. This increased the number of visitors for the third edition in a row.

“Traditionally, we open the purchasing and inspiration season for Dutch and Belgian retailers in the home deco & lifestyle industry, and how proud we are of this beautiful edition. Never before has there been so much to experience and inspiration to see. Many new brands and young entrepreneurs with great design products stole the show. There were also many talks to enrich the retailer with information. It was a sparkling spring edition full of atmosphere and beautiful showrooms where many orders were placed,” says Mascha de Bruin, Head of Cluster Retail and Interior at exhibition organizer Easyfairs.

There were many new faces, as well as inspiring companies returning to Trendz such as Boosterbox, Branded by, BRYNXZ Collections, Decomarkt, DutZ Collection, H.J. de Rooy Lederwaren, Maison Suku, MDD Decorations, MIAB Jewels, MOOISA, November Retail, Palette Amsterdam, Pearl Candles, Sfeerfabriek, Shampoo Bars, STAMPS Germany, STILL, Studio Carmela Bogman, Terroso and many more. Trendz offered an extensive program with no less than six hot spots for inspiration, including three stages. In addition, there were ten inspiring concepts in the field of sustainability in store in cooperation with vocational school SintLucas. Also a big crowd magnet was the Dutch Championship Floral Art, which was made possible by Royal VBW, Smithers – Oasis, Jodeco Glass, Marginpar, Decorum, Stichting Sociaal Fonds Bloemenspeciaalzaken and Trendz.

After an intense competition, Groningen’s Franka Roenhorst achieved the highest score (434.38 points) and was crowned Dutch champion. Tiffany van Lenten came in second, followed by Anniek Siegers in third place. Franka Roenhorst’s performance earned her the privilege of representing the Netherlands at the World Cup Floral Art in The Hague in 2025.

So was the Designersarea with nine young designers and a Trend Presentation with twenty trend setters participating. The designers who gave everyone a different perspective on home deco & lifestyle at the Designersarea were Atelier de Lannoy, Atelier SAF, Lotte van Stijn, MEAUI. STUDIO, Saar’s Atelier, Studio Bart van Hoof, Studio Rijsmus, Studio Woorts and Thirftbuien. The Trend Presentation was put together in collaboration with the exhibitors and TopInterieurOntwerpers to inspire Trendz visitors for the first time with four trend themes and matching colors, materials and designs for the spring season.

The creative Flowers & Plants Square with an inspiring program was set up in cooperation with Royal VBW, Plantion, Groothandelscentrum Plantion, Bloem&Blad, Jodeco Glass and Smithers – Oasis. Furthermore, the emphasis during this edition was on the topics e-commerce, social media, trend lectures and the always successful packing workshops.

“With full energy team Trendz continues with the organization to keep surprising the (web) shops, the renewed plans are already there” said Mascha. The next autumn edition of Trendz can be visited from Sunday, August 25 to Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem. But also Trendz spring 2025 is already planned on Sunday 12 to Tuesday 14 January 2025.
